Post WUR Adjust

I've got another question. When you 'adjust' a WUR, this changes the cold control pressures. Does it also change the warm control pressure?

I am told it changes VERY LITTLE - don't worry. I have been down the WUR road many times in adjusting it. 81'SC

unless you really hammer in the pin, there's no discernable change in the warm pressure.

Thanks. I assume that if you do really hammer in the pin, then cold control pressure changes substantially. So, it sounds like this is only a fix for cold control pressure. I wonder if warm control pressure is what gets adjusted when you change the shims in the fuel distributor.

The reason I am asking this is because I am trying to anticipate what adjustments I can try, in order to achieve smooth running in all conditions, AFTER I add 20/21 grind cams and backdated exhaust. I fear these changes might make my engine into a less perfect match for the design of my ROW fuel distributor. Any predictions?

The shims in the fuel distributor will change system pressure, which will in-turn change warm control pressure. I wouldn't worry that much about warm control pressure because you can adjust out it's effect by adjusting the mixture .

Right you are, Bill. I was just wondering about custom-tailoring the mixture, at high and low RPMs, at cold and warm temps, particularly after changing cams and exhaust, using fuel pressures. Just thinking out loud I guess.
