Distributor rebuild info
Took apart my 0 231 159 007 distributor and I am looking to see if anyone has good images and rebuild instruction. The fibre washers are disintegrated, don't even know where they go. I removed the gear and cleaned everything, there's a material in the shaft that is now clean but seems to be a shaft lube, what type of oil goes in there. The only thing I didn't take apart was the curve adjustment knowing I could't re-adjust it easily. There was no axial play, the gear had .010" of play in and out. The upper portion had much more play in and out, more like .060". Wonder what the specs for these should be.
