Non -Technical - What to See When Visiting Portland, Oregon
Sorry for the Off-Topic but the off-topic forum topics looks a little "weird".
Will have the day tomorrow to visit Portland, OR. Been there before but looking for insight from locals and the more familiar. I'll be by myself so up for any suggestions but places I typically try to find in a city are: Independent book stores, classic car showrooms or repair shops, museums, jazz clubs, vintage clothes, old school tobacco shops, all restaurants including casual, fine dining, Greek food, or great pizza, dive bars, small winerys. Thanks! Paul |
Powells books and then the extremely wide array brewpubs and food trucks could almost take up a day.

Beer beer and more beer

+1 for Powells Books.
I'll defer food suggestions to others (I don't get into downtown PDX often - I avoid it when I can). My favorite museums: OMSI (in Portland) Evergreen Aviation Museum (in McMinnville) World of Speed (in Wilsonville) |
you should look my niece up. according to her mom she has become a "stinky, hairy dope smoking hippie slut" since arriving in Portland. if she was not kin id look her up if visiting there... she sounds fun as balls..

Rich's Cigar Store in Portland is old school and world famous. Been around forever.

The biggest thing to see is more people snorting tofu than even Southern California!
