Holes in the Bumper/Reflector Steel
Do these reduce engine temperature? Hopefully whoever owns this car does not mind my use of the picture.
The CTR bumpers were vented, perhaps to reduce the parachute affect. I would think that the air circulation would be dynamic, perhaps vent holes could affect how the air was intended to move in a negative way? ![]() |

I am sure there is a thread on holes in bumper / deck lid on Pelican somewhere - but I doubt the piece in your pic with holes does anything - except for cosmetics. Don't get me wrong - I like the look. Here is a pic of my 89 car with rectangular cut outs - this is what is behind the reflector on my car. It does not open in to engine compartment. I think guys that backdate cut this sheet metal piece out. Holes in bumper on air cooled cars may allow heat from muffler to exit.
