Short to Long Shifter Job on 911SC
I have the original long shifter. Can someone describe how big of a job it is to go back to the original and if I need additional parts beyond the shifter shaft itself?

Do you have the entire shifter or just the handle?

You would need the small metal box that is within the shifter housing it is different that the normal shifter
I will try to find a pic of the difference in the two shifters. Lorne M.

Is that box something that someone would have an extra one of and be able to sell, or unlikely?

the shifter parts on the left are what you would need to get the shifter back to stock

Good info. In fact, the carrier plate, rubber buffer plate, pivot pin and C-clips (4>7 o'clock) are the only identical parts used in both factory and factory short shift housings.
