JP Dansk chrome door handle quality
Could anyone that bought the handles that Pelican sells offer any comments on the fit, finish and over all quality of the reproduction exterior JP Dansk door handles.
Thanks Pete

I just purchased a set and recently received them. They are pretty nice, good quality. I haven't installed yet so can't comment on how they fit yet. Tim

Hi, I also have a pair waiting. The chrome looks nice, but the driver's side tumbler is already sticky from just playing with the key (the little protective cover is stuck open now).

Installed mine a few months ago. I like them. I don't use the keys. I installed a simple remote keyless entry system. The only issue at install was that I had to chase the threads on one of the studs to clean up a buggered thread. Check those before install. Also I needed to adjust down the actuator rod so it would operate properly in my 1985.

It seems that The issue is with the lock cylinders. Will Porsche lock cylinders fit the handles?

Try unscrewing the fastener at the back of the handle holding the lockset in (attaching it to the pivot arm) just a partial turn. That seemed to work for me. I noticed this too on the original ones I pulled...if that fastener is too tight, then the key action seems to bind. I used a small dab of lock tight on that fastener.

Fiddle with them before installing and after removing one of the originals. You will see what adjustments you need to make.
