CIS Microswitch Repair or Replace

... found out that one of the connectors was broken on the CIS microswitch during my engine drop!

In need of a suggestion on where to find a replacement part or if repair is possible on this component by replacing the metal blade.

The left blade is still intact and in good shape, however, the right blade broke right where the small screw holds it in place.

Perhaps these blade are purchasable?

How are the blades attached, using the screw? What I mean is, are the blades shaped like an "L" where one leg of the blade fits into a recessed portion of the switch body and is held in place by the screw? If so, could you not use a male/male blade connector, file down one end to fit the recess, bend it 90* and secure it with the screw? This, of course, is if you cannot find a replacement.

Thanks so much for the replies, below are some images that clarify the mounting screw

Above image has the attachment hardware disassembled

Below is the bottom view of the microswitch and the location of the attachment screw.

I am okay with modifying a standard connector to fit, however, not sure where to find that style of connector still!

Stationary Blade Connectors

Possibly make this work?

It's hard to tell how wide the connection is

Would I be correct in saying that part of the Bakelite that the connector butts up against is also broken?

From the photos and the size of the broken piece of the connector, won't the screw and washer hold the connector in place even though the hole for the screw is now a slot, or will the broken Bakelite prevent a firm hold?

Pazuzu, thanks for the link! I measured the part to be 6.3 mm so that piece is spot on. I think ill go with a flat blade piece, drill a hole and bend to fit like you suggested. Thanks again!

ossiblue, the two sets of pieces are of two separate blade connectors. The one closer to the camera is the full working set. The one further away is what is left of the broken piece! With that said the bakelite (plastic part) is in good shape.

I am new to electronics, so I thought the holes on the blade need to be the same, it looks like any standard blade will work.
