Early 911 or 356 Seats?

Hi all.

I have just purchased these seats for resale reasons and wanted to know if they are early 911 or 356 seats, or maybe both? Any help with valuation would be great too.

Thanks.

Those look just like the ones I have in my 1972 911T except the chrome hardware bits in your photos are painted with textured black paint in my car, and my seats have headrests. Your seats look like they have some sort of cloth for the inner pleats. In my car, they are all the same vinyl as the rest of the seats.

If I am looking at mine correctly, the distance between the outer edges of the seat rails on the 911 is 19.5 inches and 18 inches on the 356.

I hope that helps.

Look for date stamps on the hinges. IIRC they are on the inside. The 356 weenies go gaga on the dates....then try and get an answer on the 356 registry. Don't toss anything....everything is restorable to them. The better the condition the higher you can get.

You may have to join and pay a fee but maybe you can search w/o having to and get prices and such. If they are late model years, you can get someone to help on the "Early S" registry. It's been a while but they may be member only as well.

A lot of late 356 stuff crossed over to the early 911s. Be advised, both sites don't have much of a sense of humor like PP. You can get those old pharts real butthurt, muy rapido....GLWS.

They won't be '64 B seats. Maybe '64 C seats.
