Question on rear wiper switch 91161332101

Is 91161332101 a spring loaded 'momentary' switch like on the 964 or is it a proper 'on/off' toggle switch?

I want to replace this to force the oil cooler fan on my 964 to high for track days. I've removed the rear wiper from my 964 and have this hole already in the dash...

The momentary switch from the 964 won't work, and my G body doesn't have a rear wiper.

Thanks!

I added a rear wiper to my '84 and bought a new factory switch. The switch for the '84 is NOT momentary. (For my uses, I wish it was.)

Great, thanks Arne.

FWIW, the 964 switch is identical in size (unsure of connections on back there are only 2 however) and it is momentary. However, it works with the relay to trigger the wiper 3 cycles then it shuts off the wiper. I guess you could 'hold' it? I believe the wiper returns to park automatically.
964 part number is 9646133190101C. It's under $10. :-) The relay is 92861810400 and about $40.
Pretty sure the 3 cycle is in the relay, look at the pics of the wiring for the relay there is some sort of transistor setup in there, but I'm not an electrician...

Anyway thanks for the response on the switch. Will order one.

Bear in mind that the earlier switch has 4 terminals, so you'll need to do some testing to determine which two do what you need.

Ok I can figure that out. What are the 4 connections to in these cars...??
Time to break out my Bentley

As I recall, there is power in, power out, power back from wiper motor (with diode) and ground. Seems a bit more complex than it needs to be.
