weber air-cleaner thread size/pitch

looking for the thread pitch & size for weber K&N type air cleaner securing hardware. ive got nothing in the garage that will fit it for a sample to take to the hardware store. I found something that I thought was close in fine thread and purchased the course threat equivalent in a 5mm x .80 and they did not work.

I want to go wing nuts at the outset for ease in removal for tuning then will like move to a nylock nut when satisfied with the set up. can anyone shed light on it? I can not imagine it is an American thread type. any help to be had here?

Not sure of the thread, but mine are nylock and my 11 MM socket fits.

I believe they are #10-24. I got wing nuts with nylon inserts for mine.

so this might indicate they are US based thread sized? I will take that bit of info to the hardware store to try that size.

these carbs had the nylock wings when I owned them 5-6 years ago but when I got them back the were sans any topping hardware. the nylock wingnuts are best case if I could find them.. McMaster-carr likely best bet. I did have a set of PMO's nylock nuts that were 11mm, so that too makes sense

thank you for the replies!

Here's a bunch.

Do double check that thread size.
