Has anyone looked at this car? I am just curious.

Saw your post on the S registry board...the car has been discussed here before. Evidently, there are reasons it hasn't been snapped up, but I can't recall them. Click on the search button above, and have fun exploring. There must be thousands of posts about '69 S's in general, but with enough time, you'll find the comments on this orange car..

I've looked at this car in person before. It has 170K miles not 70K miles and the documentation documents this fact, but it is numbers matching. It has carbs not MFI. Front pan work done at some point. Oil leaks. Door pockets not quite right. Black engine grill instead of chrome (or is it supposed to be stainless). Needs carb work or something, doesn't idle well, need to use hand throttle to keep running. Nice enough car, but for top $ one shouldn't have doubts or questions, IMHO. I drove the car as well. Pretty quick, nice and "tight," good handling. Didn't have the zoom I was looking for though.

I think I'll save my money for a 993 in the future. What other unforseen rust is there?

Not sure, but perhaps other pelicanheads have looked closer...

re: 993. I wouldn't give up the search for an early 911. Everyone knows they are more fun to drive and sound cooler.
