Post wrecking yards

For those in the Bay Area - East Bay in particular.
Do you find 911's and Boxsters at wrecking yards other than Parts Heaven and EASY? Say Pic-N-Pull type places?

Thanks

Tim--
There is also Silver Star Recycling up around Sacto. I've not heard of any pic n pull places - my guess is that they've figured that the parts are worth too damn much!
good luck
ps - I'm in Orinda

I'd be real surprised if you found a pick-n-pull boneyard for 911s.

I know a guy who owns one of the big self-service yards here in L.A. and I've gotten lots of good deals on non-Porsche parts from them over the years, but these guys are beyond sharp when it comes to parts- pulling the good stuff off before it goes in self-serve,etc. If they get a Porsche, the whole car qualifies as "good stuff".

Slight amendment- lots of good rust-free 914's in self-serve.

The yard is Aadlen Bros./Pick your Part in Sun Valley, CA.(San Fernando Valley-L.A.). I have not been there in several months and obviously the turn-over of cars is pretty rapid, but many times I have seen 914's with all body parts intact and straight. It's a crap-shoot to drive there from Perris, but there are other huge self-serve yards in immediate vicinity as well, a fender or door is $25.00, hood=$30.00, etc. Doesn't matter if part is from Yugo or Rolls, prices are set. Same for mechanical parts.

Speeder you know Nate Too. As for 914's they didnt have pipline for the next couple of weeks. I did see a Lotus Esprite last week there, it was in a big crash but the drive train was there. steve

I have a 74 2.0 914 that will be parted out....located in Santa Barbara. It runs and is driveable NOW....$2200 for the whole thing or make offers for the parts.

Has some rust in the usual places, perfect interior, well running engine and trans. Too many projects. Need room for the boat, 911 and the 914/6 that just cam home.
