I need to repaint my 81’ targa roof

Can someone let me know what porsche black color was used?

Flat black? Color code?

Also is the targa script supposed to be black or grey?
Not sure if my script is sun faded

I have been researching the web now, people say “Satin” black wurth or Krylon

I had my Targa bar powder-coated satin black, and the emblem anodized black. Most emblems have sun-faded over the years to some shade of purple, gray or silver, but they were originally black on those cars.

The factory Targa bar had an interesting bespoke textured finish although I've seen low gloss smooth bars that look quite nice. Targa badge is black. I painted my badge the same silver as stock silver metallic body color.

To answer your unanswered question: the script was black anodized. No way to do anything with it while it's still on the car.
