auto heat sensor

Hi guys,

So when re-installing my headliner I had come across a braided wire that I traced back to the auto heat console in the centre of the car.

I tucked it away close to the sunvisor hole so I could easily fish it out when the time came i could get access to it,

I have now just installed my new visors and viola there it was still sitting there, from memory last i believe something connects to it? where does that live?

i have nothing to go on because the previous one would of been damaged in the fire.

I think last time i found the part was NLA? Is there a replacement?

is that a power plug to a light in the visor?
at first I thought it looked like a power plug for a radar detector

you might state the year,

Should be a little bezel with a ~1" rubber stem where the sensor lives. I think you're correct on it being NLA.

I wonder if there is something (another kind of sensor I can adapt) or can use instead?

How does this affect the auto heat unit whilst not connected??

The wire needs to go to the center behind the rear view mirror.
I have not seen lighted mirror on the sun visor so you definitely need more length.

That's easy enough for me today..
Can anyone take a photo of there's?

Or send me a picture of the piece I'm looking for or the pet number

post 10 in this thread shows the location, item may be NLA:
Auto heat Wiring

FYI - Since Targas have no hardtop, they mount them behind the dash.

Replacement part for the NTC thermistor itself:
3.2 Carrea cabin heater sensor cable replacement
