Oil return line

Just put on a new oil reservoir line and it appears it is too long. Have included a picture
So you can see the crimps in the line - don't think it is the right hose.

My guess is that you're fine.
There has been must bigger kinks in crushed oil lines with no effects on running temps.

Loosen the fitting and try to turn the hose to get the kinks out, looks like there are two.

I ordered one for my 72 from Porsche and it was way too long, with similar kinking issues. Ended up sending measurements to Len and having him make me one. Fits perfect now.

Try Bruce's recommendation. Mine was twisted too before adjusting. Held it in place and had a friend tighten it up.
