930 Engine upgrade question

I have a question for the 930 guru's. If you add a long neck intercooler and K27 turbo to a stock 86 930 engine what should you expect in added HP ?
Thanks.

Which K27? Any exhaust changes? Post in the Turbocharged/Supercharged forum for lots of opinions.

An improved intercooler (such as an old school, Garretson, as well as many others) has been proven on dynos to add approximately 25hp.

I can't recall the h/p bump numbers for a k27 7200 (the most common version), but they are significant if you have a free flowing muffler to go along with it (a muffler change alone is worth about 40-45hp).

Keep in mind that you don't get the full benefits of either without using an adjustable WUR so fueling can be tuned.

The K27 will change the throttle response profile.
How much HP it will add depends on the spring you use in the wastegate.
Are you feeling lucky?

I was going with a 7200 and Fabspeed's long neck intercooler and custom free flowing sport muffler. Open to any advise if there are other versions of the K27. I appreciate the feedback.

add raelyl8's header.

I have the borla twin pipe, very nice deep sound. my neighbor, the judge, loves it. when I don't drive the car much he asks where is his alarm clock. I leave at 6am

I have tried the sport, did not like it as much
