A little strange.

I have nice sports car watches that actually have more information on the face. You will not find a flight watch like that or a special forces Seal watch like that. Too trendy for me.

How does it work? How do you know what the hour is? I am not being mean or nasty, I seriously can't figure out how one hand would work.

If the hand is halfway between 5 and 6, then it must be half past 5. 5:30. Each mark is a ten minute interval.

Come on guys, it ain't rocket science. Maybe it isn't for everybody, but the uniqueness is so cool. EVERYONE has a 2-handed watch. We all strive for the "rarity" factor in our cars; this just carries it to watches. And, by the way, there are others out there like this, and the first time pieces from the 16th / 17th centuries had just a single hand. Check out this link:

12 Single Hand Watches

Merry Christmas!

sorry, looks like 1:30 to me, but I know I'm a contrarian. I have one of these watches, I would prefer if the dial wasn't turned as it is. My preference would be to have the 3 at the 3 o'clock position, same for 6 and 9 obviously....12 would be straight up, but mine is a 10k tach.

still, I love this watch.

Ex-RGruppe #584 if that matters

Great info, Lyle. Thanks for sharing it!

These watches may not be for everyone, but they are unique and different. I personally enjoy how these watches break the norm. If you click the link and read the additional info about the watches you'd see:

Quote:
With watch faces broken into large hour, medium 30-minute and small 10-minute intervals, the singular hand of the watch is used to tell the hour and approximate minute.
If there are any other questions pertaining to these watches please let me know. Cheers!

They're all linked in the first post of this thread.

I agree. It's nice to see something different and it's a good conversation starter! If I saw someone wearing it I'd ask about it.

Got the specifications for you. All watches are 43mm in diameter, roughly 10mm thick and the width between the lugs for the straps is 22mm.

Btw, the watch has a nice feel to it. Not very light. It has a good presence on your wrist and people do notice it.
