2 quick headliner questions
 

I've searched to no avail (happy to be wrong), so here's two quick questions on my headliner install:

1) Stupid one first - It seems like you only glue the edges/seal areas and not the whole headliner? Is this correct?

2) '88 sunroof coupe, I have headliner rods at the bottom of my C-pillar, but don't see how to attach them to the car without puncturing the headliner. The metal tabs welded to the rear firewall are quite sharp. Any got a pic of this?

yes,
The contact adhesive only goes the width of the lip on the top and bottom edges.

Yes the bottom of the C pillar is held by the metal tabs. first the sound pad, then the hedliner, then a piece of cardboard and fold the tabs over.
