Heater blower bracket---can I delete it?

1983 SC

Backdating my heat, so deleting the blower motor. I've discovered that the mount for the motor also supports a hard pipeline running from the throttle body to the air box.

Question #1. So if I delete the bracket I'm thinking of fabricating an L bracket to fasten this pipe between the red and green arrows--so directly onto the intake runner stud on #3. Good idea?

Q #2 I don't think my yellow arrow was ever attached to anything. I can't find pics in my files that show it anyway. Anyone know what this is for?

Q#3 The narrow arm that juts off the larger bracket, mine was never attached to anything to my recollection. What is this for?

On question 1 you can delete the blower bracket. I fabricated an angle support similar to what you mention. You can see it in this photo.

On question 2 I can't remember what that other bracket is for however I removed mine as well. I believe it was all part of the heating system. You don't need it anymore after you back date.
