993 rear glass broken channel
The rear glass on my 993 has the glued on channel completely broken off and in multiple pieces. A local shop told me he had a glass company fix one in his shop with a seal from a Honda. Anybody ever heard of this? Results? What model Honda? TIA.

Mike,
I know exactly what you are talking about...That plastic channel gets brittle with age and unfortunately is part of the rear window glass. The issue is water getting past the outer seal, due to the chanel being busted out and causing corrosion in the corners of the rear glass where the water sits. Why not ask the shop, what model Honda, and post the reply? That would be helpful... I did ask the shop, he's a friend of mine and could not remember and the glass guy who did it for him is no longer around. Thanks for the link.

Most glass installers have a universal seal that works quite well if applied correctly
It gets urethaned onto the edge of the glass Find a good glass guy (good luck with that) and he'll know what to do
