Visitors from the Porsche Museum -- Part II
1984 911 Carrera Dakar
The successor to the SC Safari, and the progenitor of the Carrera 4. This car won the 1984 Paris-Dakar Rallye.      Porsche No.1 Porsche No.1, Type 356 Roadster. Object of automotive culture. Its beauty and simplicity is unmatched today. While a beautiful car, its total restoration -- and the complete access to it -- made it harder for me to fully appreciate its significance.
