Please identify this battery maintainer connection

I purchased this Carerra with a battery maintainer hardwired, according to the Porsche dealership invoices that came with the car.. I am assuming this connection is it.

1. What maintainer on the market has this type of cigarette lighter connection? Did the PO do this to use one of those cigarette lighter chargers?

2. Should I just remove it and hardwire a battery tender brand?

Thanks in advance.

I have a Porsche branded tender that just plugs into the cigarette lighter socket in the dash. Similar I guess.

Battery Tender brand sells a cigarette lighter adapter:

I had this option as well... but it never made sense to me.
How on earth would I be keeping my battery charged if I'm using the battery to charge itself??

And the lighter can only draw so much power to charge the battery, so if there is something else drawing power from your battery, it simply couldn't keep up?

Thanks guys. I ordered the adapter Barrpete mentioned but from amazon.

Are you sure that isn't a powerlet socket? I used them on my BMW motorcycle and it had the two tab internal connector.

Regular cigarette lighter is thumb size, powerlet is pinky size if that helps?

For what it's worth, I really like the Anderson Power pole connectors. Rugged, and available in different sizes/current ratings. https://powerwerx.com/anderson-power-powerpole-sb-connectors

I don't think it's a "battery maintainer" in the normal sense.

I think that that might be a socket in which to plug a low-power battery that will keep the memories/settings of on-board appliances (think RADIO presets) from losing their data if and when the main battery is disconnected for maintenance purposes.
