Speedline Ruf Alloy Refinish - Any recommendations?

Hi,

I have a couple of sets of the original Speedline Ruf alloys (9 & 10 set and 8 & 9 set) and would like to get them freshened up. Does anyone have a recommendation from a shop they have actually used?

Thanks.

In the past, I've seen Ruf Classic wheels at Harvey Weidman's shop, being restored for Ruf. Not sure if he stills does them, he's real busy with the Singer wheels, but you can check.

The biggest problem is how to handle the machined lip. That made a factory style refresh almost impossible for me cost wise. That was where I decided not to purchase the set I was looking at as there was a bit of curb damage.

I've seen some work done by Wheel Techniques in Santa Clara CA. I was told, the wheel was repaired then machined lip was done on a diamond cutting lathe.

I had my local restoration place do it-- $100 a wheel and they did a fantastic job.
