Return Oil Line Install Issue
I'm having trouble getting the oil line to line up properly. It's hitting the other oil line and causing it to go in cooked.
I think the last time I had this connected I had the hard pipe not bolted to the tin. Can someone take a look and see if anything looks wrong. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...2a7fbef24d.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Picture of the other end........
Matt,
Post a picture of the other end of the oil line. Or better, a full shot of the whole oil line in question. Thanks. Tony |
my S tube rubbed that crimped, fixed line after back dating my SC oil lines for an SSI install back in the day too. I used some bike inner tube to sleeve the S tube where it made contact. in this instance 3" should do.

Return Oil Line Install Issue
Here's an overall photo. The two oil lines are touching and preventing the hardlines from connecting properly.
https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...c864ec449b.jpg Here you can see how it is not going in straight. I don't want to tighten it for fear of damaging the fitting. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...8c6043faf1.jpg ...and yes my oil cooler is gold. I had it reconditioned by Pacific and they put some kind of coating on it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Oil return line........
Matt,
Loosen the 36-mm nut and slowly rotate clockwise or move metal tube section up. It is installed too low causing it to come in contact with the S-rubber hose. Tony |
