Stripped oil tank bolt

So I was draining the oil and found part of my thread on the oil tank bolt..
Cleaned it off, put the bolt back in with a new crush washer and it wouldn't tourque up.

Can this be fixed or do I have to replace?

Time cert maybe?

Thanks
-Dan

It depends if you want quick and cheap or more expensive and right. You can get a rubber expanding plug at an auto parts place that will work. To do it right you need to use the right size tap drill for the next size drain plug and tap it to the next size. You HAVE to flush the tank on these cars after any work on the tank since the oil supply to the pump/engine is not filtered, only the return from the engine to the tank is filtered.
