I got a new toy I got a new toy

Got my new toy today. Very nice looking 76 912e. Needs a motor installed (waiting in the shop) and I'll be on the road.

Give me about 4 weeks and I should have it on the road, 6 tops.

Color I believe is a copper metalic. Motor will be a 2.0 type four to start with, get it on the road. From there, I don't know, just have to see what comes up.

EXCELLENT!!! I picked up a 912e awhile back and started a "what should I do" thread. Look it up under "free 912e..what to do" Also check out this sight............www.shoptalkforums.com It is an orgy of Type IV info!! I am planning to put my car on a diet and build a a 150hp plus plant that will handle like a dream. Keep us posted. John

Haha.. I'm not alone when it comes to missing project deadlines.

It too me nearly a year after the motor swap before I felt comfortable taking the car out of the neighborhood.

John seems like he might be able to do it....good luck...now get rid of that 911T so you'll be able to dedicate more time and space to this project

Space? Space? I've got 3 project cars in the car port and 1 in the shop. I'll never have enough space. I do plan on putting a pad under the carport and expanding in the spring, will have a 30 x 24 garage then.

John, you lucky dog! I'm hoping to convince the lady of our house that a 2 car garage in the backyard of our new house will be affordable. Maybe, I'll start bring parts into the living room and kitchen.....hehe..

I've got all this crammed in there. Gotta move the 70t out, building a dolly next weekend to move it around after I get the suspension out.

The shop is okay, but a little tight to do major body work.
