control arm mounts - how do they (typically) differ?
 

Hello Pelicans:

I'm taking my front suspension to be powder coated today. Most of the components are a dull black finish (yes, 33+ years old on my '83SC) but the rear mounts are not. Makes me think perhaps they are aftermarket? And if so, what type?

I'm asking b/c I've been eying the Elephant Racing low-friction mounts, and if the mounts pictured below are sub-standard, I am thinking of not powder coating the front and rear mounts and going with the ER ones.

Fo those who have the ER low friction mounts, how to you like them? My driving habits are street/sporting street, but I am thinking of an autocross at some point.

Any thoughts?

Powder coat them ! That way I won't have too when you upgrade

The stock finish on these parts is not black - it is a sort of yellowish color. Chromate? Concours guys will all know what it should be.

From what I've read, the ER polybronze suckers do not increase harshness or noise if you keep them greased (though not everyone agrees). I'm pretty sure they're what I'll go for when I do mine.
