1972 T tank vent bleeder tank
can someone tell me how the item#2 is fastened to the car? it appears to use some type of elastic that connects to some hooks under the dash but i cannot find the part number

If you feel under the dash there are 2 inverted tees that are ysed to hild it but i dont know what the strap is called

You can get these at McMaster Carr. They are sold as Square-Profile Oil-Resistant Buna-N O-Rings :
https://www.mcmaster.com/#rubber-o-rings/=16ixiqw I can't remember the exact size that I got. Measure the diameter and profile width of your old one and subtract a little from the diameter account for its age. I had to buy a lot of 10 so I sold the rest at no profit.

Ok, found my order history. It was the 1/8" width, number 256. 5 3/4" to 6". It was snug but I would maybe get the next size smaller. Your call.
