I thought seat foam was supposed to be comfortable!

for the standard 'tombstone' seats from 1975, new bottom foam is $495 and backrest pad is $485. Seat covers are $750 for vinyl and $1300 for leather for the pair. So to refit the seats I have, it'll be $3300.00 plus shipping and tax and stuff like that there. If I'm gonna have to spend that much I think I will go ahead and get new seats.
Those GTS Monte Carlos are looking way better than ever

Just run Sparco race seats. Good enough for #277. :-)

GTS are very nice, but a pretty penny.

A good local upholsterer could probably do your seats up nice. Buy the vinyl covers and take them and they can put new foam in.
