Repair, or recycle
This gouge goes through the air box tin and into the actual exhaust pipe. I suppose it would be possible to remove some of the exchanger tin with a cut-off wheel, weld up the pipe, straighten and repair the tin, then weld the exchanger tin back in place. Or throw it away. It's from a 1986 3.2L. Thoughts? Dime-a-dozen and not worth the effort?

I think cut a section of sheet metal off and see if the header is dented as well as being pierced. I would weld the hole if it looks reasonably OK.
