Can I use this air sensor plate?

I'm restoring my CIS from my '83. I've also got a donor CIS. My air sensor is the one with the blue connector attached. The one from the donor is the one with the bung in the adjuster hole.

Both parts show the same part number, but the donor has the name plate on the rear of the housing, mine has it on the opposite side. It's just sort of weird, almost like they are mirror images. Both came off a 911, the donor CIS I'm not sure of the year, it has the steel lines.

I'm considering using the donor plate because the bung hole is nice (mine is all garfed up) and the plate pivots much more smoothly. I can't see that any other aspects are different, the holes all look the same, its just that part of the casting that looks different.

Anybody have any clues?

I don't see why not.
you need the electrical connector on the new one. that turns off the FP when the engine is not running. you can run without it, I did, but know the pump runs all the time with the key on.
if the mixture is rich or you have leaky injectors that can put fuel in the engine with the key on and engine off. so don't leave the key on for long periods of time.

Should be able to install the contact on the other one.
