Potential Outlaw Color Combinations for India Red 911s
Hi all, I think I have finally found the car I am going to buy: An India Red 1975 911s with a fresh rebuild and steel carrera flares. It's not the GPW car I envisioned but the price is right there are no smog restrictions and leaves me room to make it into an outlaw as I see fit.
That said I would love to hear some suggestions on color combinations for a Magnus Walker-esque looking build. I plan to put fiberglass bumpers (narrow IROC/RSR) on the car and I have already secured a duck tail which I plan to paint or wrap in satin black with the hood. Given that the car is red what would be a good color for the bumpers? Pics are great if you have done something similar. Thanks! -Ryan ![]() |

Congrats! Love Magnus' "budget" SC. The stanceworks photos are under exposed on purpose. It gives the red a much darker and richer appearance. It's really a Guards Red if I remember. Not that it matters but FYI.
Can't really go wrong with black and red as a combo. White as well. You could always vinyl GPW wrap the car sans bumpers, and then spray them india red, that way if you wanted to have mono tone India red car later, just peel the wrap off. The other advantage is that you would not have to try to two tone match a red car with some other bumper color. The only combo I can think of that would work on the bumper is black. Black bumpers don't seem to look right imho. Check this thread for some ideas : Show me your two tone - or - A Hood of a Different Color
