72 911T targa seal
the front targa bar seal on the 72 has a fabric material on it.
looking at most of the seals for sale they do not have this material once company has it but it is listed for a 68/69 not a 72.. question did the 72 911's have the fabric type of seal or did someone put this on my car by mistake? 901-565-091-44 this is the product number. it is number 41 on the attached. thanks

I have a 'new' targa bar seal and it has the cloth fabric. The old seal still on the car does as as well. The fellow I bought my car from several years ago told me that these are the preferred seals.

FWIW, installation of this seal is very finicky.
A search for Targa Seal will give you tons of threads. This one is really good and has a video showing the German way to install. Targa Top Adjustment
