That car was pretty impressive and even moreso when Neil started it up.
Hard to believe that the owner didn't think it was enough power so they had another engine coming for it.
That thing made the cars the rest of us have look anemic.

This car was in the parking lot when we got back from Andretti's. It belonged ,I believe, to a stereo company and they were looking to put a more powerful engine in place of the old one.

Speaking of powerful, Chris learned a powerful lesson yesterday: Don't start one of our engines next to a car like that. This car sounded like it had 10,000 horses under it's hood. Makes ours' sound puny.

Am I the only one who thinks that the car pictured above is incredibly ugly? Just wondering.

The pics don't really do it justice. It really is something in up close.
And the sound of the engine was even better.
The quality of the work was pretty first class. It didn't look like some kind of car with aftermarket body parts just stuck on it.

I've seen the car up at RA...It was there the weekend of the ARRC.

Actually, I'm impressed by the amount of money it probably took to build it...I laughed at the fact that those are amps in the back window, and not engine covers...

Not my cup of tea either, but it was impressive to see and hear. When you consider that it is a showpiece for stereo gear, the concept makes sense. It had just returned from the CES (Consumer Electronics Show) and was in for more mods (650hp motor...not sure why).

Under the neon lights on a rotating pedestal, it's right at home. Heck, who's gonna line up at a big exhibition to see our Blaupunkt AM-FM casette decks in our 20 year old air pumpers (besides us, of course)?
