Alternator warning light no longer available?
Hello,
I recently started my rebuilt engine for the first time. I am running the engine out of the car. The engine is running great; however, I have not been able to prove the charging system. I have wired the alternator and voltage regulator but I dont have a warning light wired in. It seems this light is required for a Marchal alt with external regulator. I'm looking for a warning light and maybe a diode (whatever I need) to install the warning light to test the charging system before installing the engine in the car. The part number that I found (911-617-108-00) appears no longer available and may only be a diode (not the light itself?). I found many threads regarding troubleshooting the charging system but was not success in finding a replacement light/diode. Can someone tell me if i need a light and/or a diode and where I can get these parts? Thanks, Kelly |
External VR does not require a diode.
Just the lamp holder and bulb.
