Mint Green - I will never know what it looks like

Could be a great color, but who knows?
The same mint green image looks on
Apple Ipad
Plasma TV
Dell Laptop
Samsung Droid Phone
I will never know, unless one shows up in Northern California in the wild

I've seen it in person. I don't care for it, but I'm sure many do. It's definitely a love it or hate it look.

If you think you might like it, and are fretting over not knowing exactly what it looks like, get your paint supplier to mix up a bit for you.

When I saw it back in the day I hated it.

But, nowadays... When cars in a parking lot are only white, silver or black. It might just look sweet

Beautiful on a 964. Saw one in the local Home Depot parking lot (of all places) a couple years back, remember feeling like my Slate Grey was boring in comparison.

This. Once you see a rare color in real life, all others look generic and invisible in comparison.

There is a new GT3 RS in that color in NorCal. Not sure where, ran into it( not literally) driving North from LA. For something more pedestrian you might see in the wild, the 2000s era Thunderbird and Z3 came in a similar color. Neither are as "luminous" as actual Mintrun but the ford comes close, iirc

Yeah, I'm not a big fan, either.

But...

When I was a teenager (well before the internet) and starting to get into cycling in a big way, my mind was malleable and open to suggestion. I lived in a small town and rarely exposed to anything other than what the two local shops sold.

That would have been fine except we were allowed to read. And we did get magazines which were my gateway to 'civilization.' I spent hours poring over cycling and car articles and images, absorbing every nuance and scrap of information available. My dreams were given counsel by the word smiths, marketing copy writers and photographers who exposed this unseen world to my juvenile imagination.

But then one Tuesday afternoon, flipping through the new arrivals at the drug store, there it was: a singular image in all its glory accompanied by the celestial hymn of a divine messenger.

It was glossy. It was Italian. It was exotic. It was everything I had lusted after. It was Bianchi and Celeste number 227.

I couldn't find that ad, but this is the colour.

pretty unlikely paint to sample in 1972. There was a 1971 Lincoln "light mint green" and a 1949 Mercury mint green.

There is a mint green Cayman GT4 in my area; definitely a head turner. On an overcast / grey day it's fantastic. Not as big a fan in direct sunlight.
