Atlanta Pelicans meet for coffee?

Chris (Blkbird) and I are talking about getting together this weekend for coffee somewhere near GA 400/Alpharetta. Any other Atlanta Pelicans interested?

The Race car store and Caribou coffee used to sponsor a drop-in car show every third Saturday. That would be this coming Saturday, the 18th. But I understand the Race car store is going out of business?

Charles (Cellison) suggested a trip to this new Porsche shop "Roock" across from Andretti's. Charles says "they are a German group that was heavily into racing, Lemans, etc, and are expanding into thestreet performance area: mods, turn key cars, etc.". Maybe we meet for coffee and then hang out at the shop?

I don't know that area too well so I don't know what coffee shops are nearby.

race car store is out of business (at least from a storefront sort of way, they're still online)...if you go to carsncoffee.com, there's a goodbye message...

There's a bunch of us that hang out at Mo's pizza on briarcliff, just south of clairmont and I-85...we'll be there tonight about 6:30...all are welcome...they started as BMW group, but a 993, and a 996 show up, and 1 or two other members are looking to buy pcars...I'll have the '12 there someday...

Folks,

Just spoke with Neil at Roock. They are a Porsche performance store and would be glad to have us drop by. They will even provide the coffee!

According to Neil the shop not only works on the newer 996s, but even "prefers" the older models. I asked Neil if we could have a tour of the facilities, and get a pitch on upgrades we could do on our cars. (Of course my car Blkbird doesn't need any more upgrades. Well, not right now.)

Okay lets summarize our inputs here (Yes I organize for a living).

Clay says after 10:00am
We have a birthday party (Congrats!) in the morning.
And a possible airport pick up in the afternoon?

So why don't we shoot for 11:00am and we can hang out there for a couple of hours?

Then we troll accross the road to Andretti (after Atlporsche has left to avoid humiliating him). That way we can be at either place after the birthday party wraps up, Clay has time to make it over from the East end, and we can score some donuts for lunch.

Neil says we can come by anytime to Roock, but does 11am this Saturday work for everyone?
