Identify tool in this picture of 911 kit

Thanks to previous posts, this picture is a good reference of a late 80's tool kit.
My question is this kit has a hollow rod up at top left area and I have no idea what it does? I have seen it in 1985 kits and my 1986 but I do not know what it is used for? Some have said its for sliding over other tools to get leverage, but that does not seem realistic for Porsche/German ways...
My second question is the manual sunroof opening tool stored in tool kit or back in zippered headliner?
Thanks,
Mike W

By using the combination of the 10 x 13 tube socket & the 10mm allen key for the spark plug tool, the compressor bracket bolts can be loosened or tightened. So, this tool is needed for when you would have needed to change the fan belt for the engine cooling fan, because the air con belt needs to come off first." unquote

Maybe some other Pelican can confirm this for both of us eh

Tool above pliers -10mm x 13mm tube socket is for the air conditioner compressor bracket bolts. As per the previous post, the spark plug tool allen key is used in the 10mm end & the 13mm end for the bolts.

Tool above short phillips head screw driver shaft - 120mm long x 10mm OD steel tube is used over the short side of the 6mm allen key, for removal of the battery bracket cap head bolt. The rubber cap on the long side of the 6mm allen key is to retain the cap head bolt after removal.

Thanks for that.... I often puzzled over what that shiny tube was for in my '88 tool kit.
