Thermo-time-to-replace it?
Before I buy a new one of this expensive part, please confirm for me that mine is bad based on the following:
the car/engine: 1981 911 3.0L The thermotime heater-side circuit measures 25 ohms resistance (little disc/yellow wire side, to case), and when 12 volts is applied the stem gets plenty hot. The thermotime temperature switch side (big disc/red wire side) measures no resistance at room temp, and even when very hot, resistance reaches only 90 ohms. I understand it is supposed to be open (infinite resistance) when very hot. It my TTS cooked? Greg |
