Minor screw up with shift coupler

I took out my shift coupler this morning to replace the bushings. I carefully marked the connection to the shift rod with a black marker as suggested in Wayne's book.

After removing the coupler, I proceeded to thoroughly clean the coupler with brake clean. Oops! Now that my reference mark is obviously gone is there a strategy to lining up the coupler and shift Rod?

Thanks,

Alex

Yes. Page 106 and page 107 of Wayne's book.
