looking for recommendations tires 205/55/16 and 245/45/16
I've run R888 or RA-1 for many years but am thinking I want something a bit more quiet than the R888 and maybe a little better in the rain.
It doesn't have to be an R compound tire and I'm thinking maybe it shouldn't be. Anyone have suggestions for what is currently available?

Looks like Potenza RE 11 are in that size, and well regarded. They are a little hard to find however. I think Trierack gets them regularly, but I heard they are going to be discontinued soon.

Geesh. I hope they don't get discontinued. It's the only thing left that fits and is suitable on the track...
