Weber/zenith airfilter buckets vs mfi identification help.
 
Does anyone have a definitive way of telling what air filter buckets are for mfi and also webers including the air filter housings?

I have 4 buckets and 1 air filter housing that is plastic and I want to figure out the correct combination for my Weber set up.. Pictures would help of what I have and I try to some Later today but any help would be greatly appreciated

It looks like 3 of the 4 buckets are the same.. I really just want to complete a setup for webers and will sell the balance of parts..

Ben, The clips are different for the metal tops compared to the ones for the plastic tops. I don't recall which bucket heights go on which housing though.

I think I have identified that the air filter housing is for an mfi:( engine and 3 of the 4 buckets are for carbs but not 100% sure.. The clips are out getting plated right now.. Hopefully I can come up with something complete for my needs

Looks like you have a '72-'73 MFI housing. If you're looking for a plastic housing the only one that will work is from a late '71T or late '71 to "72 914-6. I don't know what you're trying to achieve, but if originality is not a concern the metal ones restored look much nicer in my opinion.

Thanks.. I actually have the mfi housing up on eBay and think 3 of the 4 buckets are for carbs. I actually just picked up a complete metal unit off a 2.2 that will work for my application so I will be selling all of what you see in the near future. Thanks everyone for your help
