One of first things I did on my car was delete those pockets. Now I have RS panels.
I guess the arm rest has some value, some just recover it with leather. You might try a silicone based adhesive, like a black RTV. Worth a try.

Door pockets are a PITA. You can jerry rig them to look better but in the end its best to replace them though I know they are stupid expensive. Hopefully there are some aftermarket one available since the last time I looked.
