What size PMOs?

Okay, I have a great running mid year 77 with 78 euro sc motor in it twin plug with electromotive crank spark.

What size PMO's would be right for the car. The CIS seems to be working fine but I'm thinking it might not be keeping up at 6k, but I really don't know.

Love to here peoples thoughts on it.

I think adding the PMOs will just add to the cars value. It is a lightly hot-roded car right now.

40s

So looking at that I have good chance of gaining 30Hp from adding PMO's?

I like that, I like that a lot. PMO's also look bad ass too.

Looks like I'm going to have to start saving my pennies, a whole lot of them.

I think PMOs need to be in my car.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1491003102.jpg

looking into it looks to me like 46mm PMOs would be a good choice.

Don't be too quick to rule out Zeniths with 34 or 36mm venturis.

+1 on the 40's

Richard Parr at PMO recommended 46's for my '79 euro 3.0. And yes they look bad ass. If Richard says 46's are correct that's what you get.

40 PMOs.

Newer design. Newer product. Parts and support are redily available.

Weber, Zeniths and other used carbs having mileage on them are less attractive since they are mostly worn out. Sure they can be refurbished but you may exceed the price of PMOs.

40s unless the motor has cam and/or displacement and compression mods. Simply adding carbs to a former FI motor can just be a lower mpg "eye candy" upgrade IMHO. 40s CAN be a nice investment as they can be upgraded at a later date when the base engine is modified.

Carbs in general are old school. ITBs are the better choice. Just ask Al....;)

Gamin do you like the results of the PMOs on the Car?

gamin 04-01-2017 02:09 PM

Eli W - I haven't installed them yet as the stripped body is in Virginia for body and paint work. This is a 70T 2.2 that had PMO's installed. Engine and carbs destroyed in engine fire of electrical origin. They were 40 PMO's and I thoroughly enjoyed them. Richard Parr was instrumental in their set up. Everything he said to do was spot on. I have a 79 euro 3.0 going in and I have the PMO's ready to go. They are 46's because due to experience I trust what Mr. Parr says. I love carbs for a lot of reasons and PMO's above all. And they are eye candy. Mr. Parr will send you the carbs set up for your engine with everything you need for installation and detailed set up instructions. Did I mention the sound is glorious? It is!

Well I think that is where I'm headed.
But I have a couple of hurdles to get over one is the cost, but the other issue is in my current setup my CIS is working like a champ.

I just got back from a spirited drive, and as we all know these cars just make you smile. So much fun, love using the power to get around a corner and settle the car. The car is twin plug 3.0 with higher compression and electromotive spark. Starts every time like a new car.
