Shift coupler part number help, please?

I bought this on eBay years ago for my 993. The box it came in had the right part number, but the part number on this part is not the same and it was about an inch too long to work on my car. That was a very expensive mistake, required a tow to Patrick Motorsport and tranny R&R to figure it out. Anyway, I want to eBay this off, but cannot find this part number anywhere and don't know what car(s) it fits. Any help? Thanks.

A quick internet search shows this ad, that lists a different part number, but also lists and shows the number you're referring to....which may be the casting number vs. the finished part number.

regards,

That's a casting number. Not a part number. If the part number was right on the box it likely was a mistake at Porsche themselves.

When I installed this with my tranny, the shifter felt like it was welded into place. It would not move a millimeter. I had to have it towed to Patrick. They said I had a shift coupler for a C4S, while my car was a C2. They had a used C2 coupler laying around, so they installed it, but only after a tranny R&R. All I know is this part did not work with my C2. I would not feel right trying tio eBay it off as being for a C2, though it looks pretty close to the one used on the very first G50 Carreras too.

I don't see a difference in PET for C2 versus C4. Only difference PET shows is 1994 and 1995+ are two different parts. You got me.

Reviving this one.

I dug out the original Porsche box for this part. The part # (not casting) on the label is 950 424 028 01. In the diagram below it's #30 and that part number shows as being for 1994, while the same part in the diagram, but with the 993 424 028 00 #, shows as being for 95-98.

993 / Turbo (1995-1998) - Transmission Control (6-speed)

AFAIK, there were no '94 993s in the US. Does that make this a ROW part? Are there '94 993s in Europe?
