Some questions on my '74--G or H?

Trying to learn more about what I have, and I see conflicting info on the interwebs.

* Build date is 7/74, so is it a G series or H series?
* Most pics for a '74 show a 4-spoke steering wheel, but this one has the three-spoke. Was that an option for 1974?
* Apparently the 911 "base" was a '74 year only model. Any way to determine build quantity for the base '74?
* Mine is black with the blue/black interior. That was apparently not a standard color option. Any way to find out how uncommon that might be for a '74?
* Was the passenger side mirror an option?

Thanks for any expert input!

Will do. That should help with the first question at least.

G series (8/74 begins H)
3 spoke is the Carrera wheel. Probably swapped if yours is a 911 or 911s
911 (Base as you call it) 4014 units
Blue is a standard interior color (vinyl)
Right side mirror option is M093 (manual) m261 (power)

So I guess there was a very short run of short-nose G-Series 911s.

3 spoke is the Carrera wheel. Probably swapped if yours is a 911 or 911s
Quite possible. Didn't know if it was a factory option or not.

911 (Base as you call it) 4014 units
Assuming most were painted standard colors, black might be semi-rare lol

Blue is a standard interior color (vinyl)
Thanks.

Right side mirror option is M093 (manual) m261 (power)
Thanks.

Technically, G series is for the '74 model year, the first impact bumper 911, and as noted, production ended in 8/74. However, many sources refer to all impact bumper, air-cooled 911s through '89 as G series. This is probably where the confusion lies. Referring to all '74 and later cars as G cars is a simplified way to designate the impact bumper body style from the "long hoods." Generally, anybody referencing a "G series" will likely be understood to mean impact bumper cars, though that would only be correct for the specific '74 model year.
