Optima Warranty?

Anyone here think this Optima battery will be covered under warranty?

Is that your car, bummer if it is, but why would they warranty a battery that sure looks like it was crushed? LOL

Nope...they will tell you that the alternator is the problem.

stevej37 that is exactly right!
The car was not totaled although I had to educate the insurance company about what these cars are worth.
The car is in surgery now and expected to make a full recovery.
Interestingly the car was still running and the lights, except for one, were still on.
Nice benefit of an Ootima is no spilled acid when the battery was crushed.
I'll post pictures of the repaired car, with a complete repaint, when it's done

Are the Johnson Controls Optimas still as bad a people say? I've had mine in the P-car for 13 years so far.

I bought one just under 3 years ago and it failed. (Made in Mexico) and I'm in the middle of a dispute right now.

I went back to the place I bought it from and they told me it has a 2 year warranty but according the the Optima web page it's 3 years.
So I wrote an email to Optima but they haven't got back to me yet... Not even sure what to do now. (I'm in Australia)
