Is there a 'maintenance interval' for this based on normal clutch wear? Or do you just adjust it when you have probs?

Adam,
It probably should be checked every six months or so ... freeplay and adjustment clearance at the cable end, but you may not actually adjust it more than every couple of years ... but, driving conditions and drivers vary as to how much wear is actually caused on the clutch disk. ------------------ Warren Hall 1973 911S Targa 1992 Dodge Dakota 5.2 4X4 parts hauler [This message has been edited by Early_S_Man (edited 10-23-2001).] |

Yikes, 10 years on the same cable without an adjustment and my clutch works fine. Now I won't be able to sleep at night, and when I drive the car I'll start to hear strange noises.
I guess I'll be under the car this weekend to take some measurements. ------------------ Bill Krause '79 911SC Euro MY PELICAN GALLERY |
