Gas mileage...

I am curious as to what kind of gas mileage everyone is getting with their 911s/964s/993s. Let's hear it.

As an FYI, I get about 22 Highway it seems.

2.8, carbs, short gearing and a "spirited" driving style = 10mpg.

Between 13.6 to 14.5 mpg. It sort of sucks but it sure is fun.

Since the rebuild I have been getting between 16 and 19 mpg on 78 Euro SC with SSI's. That is down from when I first bought the car. I was getting 22-24 mpg but I think I am driving the car harder now.

Huge difference between city and highway for some reason, but about 12-14mpg in town, and 22mpg or better at steady 80-90mph. That is with a stock '82 SC coupe, being rebuilt right now w/ SSIs and 964 cams, I'll let you know if any different.

Even though I lust for some of the high-compression, MFI, hotrodded motors around here, I plan on some great road trips+ daily driver duty for my car and appreciate the highway milage and fact that it burns 87 octane.

22-23 mpg on the freeway. Not enough city driving to calculate.

26 - 28 mpg mostly highway (I guess I'm not driving hard enough!)

22.3 mpg on a 2 1/2 hour stretch where I averaged 94 mph!

16-18 mpg on my old C2 - no matter how I drove.

man, do you guys run low revs or something? I run around 16mpg...if I have long freeway drives I maybe get up to 19mpg. Then again, I tend to not use 5th gear unless I'm in serious distance cruise mode. And for some reason I feel compelled to spend much of the time on the freeway in 3rd gear

Dumb question: For those of you that changed your chip: Did your gas mileage change significantly? Just curious to see if this is normal. I didn't see anything on any of the threads I read about chip changes.

We went on a spirited drive and I was getting about 21 mpg on the one and a half tanks that day. I did the math a number of times and it came out the same. Other Pheads were there to validate this.

Oh yeah, my car is FOR SALE .

Long story.

Anyway. I have not decided on a price. However, I do have some numbers rattling around in my bucket. Just waiting for them to stop keeping me awake at night.

See some photos below. Email me.
