Blaupunkt BEQ-60 with SQR Reno 46

Hello,

Does anyone has a manual or wiring diagram how this
EQ BEQ-60 suppose to hook up?
I am trying to hookup this EQ to
Radio SQR Reno 46.

BEQ-60 has 7-pin DIN male input and female output
Reno 46 has 8-pin DIN female output.

Any wiring diagram or sketching will greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Hello and welcome to the forum! You may be able to find a thread or diagram on the process with a general search in google - some thread may turn up. Best of luck. If you list what car you have, I'd be happy to link you to our DIY tech articles for it as well.

The newer Blaupunkt HU/EQ's were all 8 pin as I have the BEQ65 but converted it to RCA to work with the Porsche Classic radio. That BEQ was the generation before, I would search EBay and see if there are some step down DIN converters...finding wiring/diagrams is going to be really difficult as this was all out pre-internet and Blaupunkt the company has changed so much and really does little to support their historical items.

It is fascinating looking at the values of some of the classic Blue Dot stuff rise with the values of older Porsches and BMWs etc. I thought it would be a great market for a revival of classic looking HU's with updated internals. But car stereo's themselves are almost free now....Good luck!

The problem is I don't have the owner manual of
The BEQ-60. Without the manual or diagram of the PIN
arrangement. I Don't know how to
modify the existing 7-Pin DIN into an 8-Pin connector.
Plus those extra wires hanging on the EQ beside the DIN connector. I am
Not sure where they should be connected.

Thanks

12v, 12v ignition and Ground should be pretty straight forward to figure out, get it powered up and then you can use a meter to figure out which of the din pins is your L-R-F-R. If you open up the module you may be able to see markings on the PCB identifying the wires and then test for continuity to the pins.

You can probably do all that in a hour's worth of dedicated work.

Well, some of those wires that are hanging are power, ground, illumination and constant. If you don't feel confident enough in this I highly suggest going to your local stereo shop, this is very straightforward.

I took the unit to local shop in OC
"Speaker Works" and was not able to
power up the unit. They said, need the
owner manual. Speaker Works is one of the best
Audio shop around in OC. I will try to take some photos
of the hanging wires to post up here tonight to see someone
could help.

I know of those guys...never use them again!

Go to Beach Audio in HB, ask for Terry. He knows Blaupunkt.
